An upcoming Bob the Builder movie is currently being worked on for Mattel Films. It is set to be produced by Jennifer Lopez, with Anthony Ramos planned to play as Bob.
ShadowMachine, an American animation studio, will also work on the movie. As they have specialised on stop-motion before, it is possible that it will be the franchise's first stop-motion work since Project: Build It.
On November 5th, Amazon MGM Studios bought the distribution rights to the movie.
Plot
“When Roberto “Bob” travels to the enchanting island of Puerto Rico for a major construction job, he takes on issues affecting the island and digs deeper into what it means to build. Bob’s journey will celebrate the vibrant and colorful textures of the Caribbean Latin nations and their people.”
Characters
Wendy, Scoop, Muck, Dizzy, Roley and Lofty are very likely to appear.
Trivia
- This will be the franchise's first theatrical film to be produced. Had the 2012 film not been cancelled, it would've been the second.
