The seventh series premiered in the UK between February 03 to 20, 2003 on BBC and was re-shown on CBeebies. In the US, the seventh series was released to home video between 2003 and 2004 but was shown on TV for the first time on PBS between January 01 to March 26, 2005 with later being re-shown on Sprout. In Australia, the seventh series first premiered on the ABC Kids block between January 28 to February 13, 2003.

A special was released on home video on March 17, 2003.

Molly sees a family of otters. Trix decides to watch them also, but then they see a big shiny machine. Muck devises a good way to watch them.

Bob builds Mr. Beasley a new shed while Skip unknowledgeably takes J.J.'s old chest with important papers after Molly swaps the chest with a nicer one which makes that everybody race after him.

Scoop wants to enter the snowman competition, but he needs to fix a burst pipe outside Mr. Sabatini's house. The noses for the snowmen start disappearing.

Bob is building a through-lounge for Mr. and Mrs. Bentley. Lofty carries the long metal girder. Dizzy and Trix decide to have a race and in the process the girder damages the sides of the bridge.

Mr. Fothergill has a nasty case of dry rot, so Bob and crew will have to use chemicals to fix it. Later, Hamish gets a new home at J.J.'s when Mr. Fothergill finds out he's allergic to him.

While Bob and the team build a sheep barn for Farmer Pickles, Dizzy tries to help out by acting like a sheepdog.

  • Despite premiering in 2003, this series was produced in 2002 according to the UK credits.
  • The US dub of the seventh series was recorded from either late 2002 to early 2003 (sometime before May) according to the credits from the Teamwork home release and the release date of the Building Friendships home release.
  • This series premiered around the same time in Australia as it did in the UK but with different dates.
  • This series marks the first and last of several things:
    • First appearances of Robert, Dorothy, Florence Mountfitchet, The Librarian, Maisy and Daisy, the Otters, the Badgers, David Dixon and Charlie the Chincilla.
    • First series to premier on PBS Kids for the US alongside the eighth and ninth series in early 2005.
    • First series not to feature Bob's Yard in every episode.
    • First series to feature Muck and Scoop's new mouth plates.
  • This series has more episodes focusing on Skip and Molly as they only appeared in one episode and Molly was mentioned in another during the previous series.
  • Dizzy the Sheepdog was the only episode from this series that never made it on to DVD in the UK and Spud the Pilot is the only episode which never made it onto DVD in the US but was released on VHS and was later given a digital release.
  • This series is unique in the US as it was the only series to be fully released on home media before premiering on TV. It is currently unknown why this series didn't premier on TV in 2003 for the US.
  • This series was most likely filmed between early to mid 2002.
