The eleventh series is the second series of Project: Build It and premiered in the UK between 1 to 16 August 2005 on BBC2 in the CBeebies block. In the US, the eleventh series premiered between October 29 to December 3, 2005 on PBS and debuted on Sprout in early 2007.

The special When Bob Became a Builder was also released on home video on 31 December 2005 for the UK and on February 7, 2006 for the US.

This was the last series to premiere on BBC2 in the UK, but episodes continued to air on both BBC2 and CBeebies as repeats until the rebooted series premiered in 2015.
This series was produced in early 2005 according to the UK credits.
This marks a few things:
- The first appearances of David Dailey, Sandy Beach, Sunny, Saffron and Sumsy.
- The first series in where Mr. Dixon, Mrs. Potts, Mrs. Percival, Mr. Adams, Mr. Sabatini, Molly, Pam Goody, Bunty Ferguson, Florence Mountfitchet, Bird, Birdy, J.J., Skip, The Librarian and Pilchard do not appear since their introductions.
- This is also the only series of Project: Build It and the whole stop-motion era where Mr. Sabatini does not appear since his debut in the sixth series.
- The first series of Project: Build It with all episodes released on US home media (both DVD and digital release).
