Mr. Bentley's Trains is the second episode of the eighth season.


Train enthusiast Mr Bentley is away for the day because he is going to a meeting of building inspectors, and, in his absence, Mrs Bentley decides to surprise her husband by asking Bob to build him a brand new model railway in the shed. Meanwhile, Scoop, Lofty, Roley and Spud pretend to be a train and carry people to where they need to go.

  • It is shown that Mr. Bentley and Mr. Dixon loved trains since they were kids.
  • This episode marks the first time Roley pulls Travis' trailer.
  • We learned that Mr. Dixon's Uncle made him a train set in a shed since he was a kid.
  • This episode was the first ever Mr. Bentley dedicated episode.
  • In the UK dub, Mr. Bentley says "And here comes the 4.15 from Paddington now." which is known as an iconic railway station in London. However, in the US dub, Mr. Bentley just says "And here comes the 4.15 from the station now."
  • Even though conductor is a US term, they say it in both versions.
  • This episode was paired with repeats of Dizzy the Sheepdog (Season 7) and Snowman Scoop (Season 7) when it first premiered in the US.
  • This episode was released on home video at the end of 2003 before premiering in the US in 2005.
