List of Shorts

This page is a list of shorts, character fact files, character shorts, transitions and educational bumpers released through out the years. Shorts were made to fill in air time for Nick Jr. broadcasts of the Original Series and later returned for Project: Build It broadcasts on PBS as Bob's Mini Projects. There were not any shorts included in PBS broadcasts of Seasons 7 -9 as three episodes were paired while only two episodes were paired in the Nick Jr. broadcasts. The shorts were included on DVDs for the UK releases and aired on CBeebies as Bob's Mini Projects as a stand-alone short series. In PBS airings of Seasons 7 -9, the shorts were replaced with character fact files, and PBS airings of Seasons 1 and 2 have the opening and ending shorts (usually seen in Project: Build It shorts) replaced with the educational bumper, "Bob and the Sliding Doors."

Original Series[]

Mini Adventures (2000)[]

Note: The Mini Adventures were featured as filler content for the Original Series TV Blocks (Series 1-6 in the US; Treehouse additionally had Series 7-8; Discovery Kids had Series 9). The shorts also aired as interstitials on CBeebies in the UK, and on ABC in Australia.

Unlike the rest of the series, the Mini Adventures were produced with the US audience in mind, and were even dubbed first with the US cast (most notable in the short Sing-A-Long Bird). As such, the US actors sound noticeably different than in the episodes.

Note: The beach shorts were aired as interstitials on Nick Jr. from 2003-2004 and were featured in PBS repeats of Seasons 1 & 2 in the US. They also aired as Interstitials on Treehouse in Canada, and on CBeebies in the UK. It is unknown if the shorts aired on ABC in Australia.

Bob Stars[]

Project: Build It (Bob's Mini Projects)[]

Note: Bob, Lofty and Spud were originally voiced by their original actors in early versions of these shorts assuming they were attended to return for Project: Built It but left and got replaced at the last minute.

These shorts were featured on Half Hour broadcasts of Project: Build It (Seasons 10, 12-16) in North American countries, and also aired as interstitials on BBC and CBeebies in British territories. It is unknown if they were ever aired as interstitials on ABC in Australia.

Note: This information was also seen as a bonus feature on the UK DVD of Snowed Under: The Bobblesberg Winter Games, called "Meet Bob and His Team", albeit the US version was narrated by William Dufris, while the UK version was narrated by John Motson.
