Farmer Percy Pickles is the tritagonist and a nearby farmer, and a good friend of Bob who often helps out in his construction projects. He is the owner of Travis, Sumsy, Packer, Scruffty and Spud.
Appearance
Farmer Pickles is a man with an almost bald head but has black hair and a black moustache (light grey in Ready, Steady, Build! due to the CGI-animated graphics). He wears a plaid coral pink and blue shirt, a brown belt, light blue trousers and black shoes. Sometimes he wears a black hat and a green waistcoat.
Personality
Farmer Pickles is a busy and kind farmer who runs a farm just outside of Bobsville. He gets up early in the morning to tend his crops and take care of his animals. He also helps Bob and his team out whenever they have a job to do. He cares for his machines, and acts as a father figure to Spud, often telling him off for causing trouble with Bob's work. In his spare time, he conducts the town band.

- In the UK dub, Farmer Pickles speaks with a West Country accent, and in the US dub, he speaks with a more operatic-sounding American accent in the Original Series, while in Project: Build It and Ready, Steady, Build!, he speaks with a Southern American accent.
- Both of Farmer Pickles' voice actors in the US dub have passed away, with William Dufris and Vincent Marzello in 2020.
- Farmer Pickles' first name is Percy. This was first said in the episode Where's Robert? (Series 10).
- His cousin Baz is Australian.
- Farmer Pickles returned to the reboot only once in the episode "Barn Building Bedlam".
- In the short "Bob Saves Energy", Farmer Pickles is said to have milking machines although cows have never been seen on his farm until later in the series (primarily the Ready, Steady, Build! episodes.
- Farmer Pickles' UK voice resembles Farmer Green's from Roary the Racing Car in the UK and US, even they're voiced by different actors, Neil Morrissey and Tim Whitnall respectively.
