- “Yes, it's been nice looking after you, but...your real mum's waiting for you now i...in the coop. Off...off you go... No, go on...”
- ―Spud about to tear up while saying goodbye to the chick he looked after
Cock-a-Doodle Spud is the third episode of the fifth series.
Plot
Farmer Pickles' hen has abandoned her eggs, so Bob is building a hen coop. Spud decides to look after the chicks. Spud then found out that the cockerel/rooster, who had been crowing this morning and driving him nuts, was the father. The cockerel/rooster then crowed happily at the top of his feathers as if to say, “He sure is. Thanks for taking good care of my family while I was away.” He was glad that Spud took good care of his wife and kids.
