- “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!”
- ―Bob the Builder: Project: Build It's main quote

Bob the Builder: Project Build It is the second series of Bob the Builder, serving as the Original Series' sequel. It continues the storyline of where the Original Series left off. In this series, there is more emphasis of sustainability, with the frequent mentioning of the three R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) as well as teaching youngsters about recycling through the stories. It was produced between 2004-2007 and it aired between 2005-2008 (2009 for the US).
Production History
On 7 November 2003, it was announced that a new Bob the Builder series would be coming out in 2005. Early on in development, Tom and Skip were going to be main characters. However, due to unknown reasons, the two of them aren’t seen helping in the series. The series started production in 2004 and wrapped up in 2007. The series was broadcast from 2 May 2005 to 26 August 2008 in the UK on CBeebies and from September 3, 2005 to February 14, 2009 in the US on PBS. From 2006, the series also aired on Nick Jr. and Nick Jr. 2.
About
One day, when Wendy goes off on holiday, a contest is held in Bobsville where the winner will get to create their very own city in Sunflower Valley. To avoid seeing the beautiful countryside of Sunflower Valley get demolished for a big, bustling city, Bob devices to enter the contest, and wins! Now Bob, Wendy, and his Can-Do Crew are to turn Sunflower Valley, and later on, Bobland Bay, into an eco-friendly town for people to live in.
The main setting of the series is Sunflower Valley instead of Bobsville, which was a major location in the tenth series and later became either a minor or recurring setting from the eleventh to sixteenth series. Characters such as Mrs. Potts and J.J. (along with his gang) that remained in the Bobsville setting would disappear permanently (barring cameos) for the rest of the series.
Unlike the previous series, there are machines who either have unknown owners or owners that never got revealed. Bristle, Flex, Tumbler, Gripper and Grabber are the following machines who don't seem to have owners. It's thought that Flex is owned by Mr. Bell but it's currently unknown if he really does own Flex. Benny and Zoomer reappear from the special Snowed Under: The Bobblesberg Winter Games, under-owned by Robert and Dot. Shorts were also included in this series.
