Benny's Back! is the ninth episode of the tenth season.

Plot

Bob faces a race against time to get everything finished on the workshop and storerooms, as well as doing a job for Farmer Pickles, so Benny and Scrambler help to get the work done.

Summary

Scoop has spent the night in Bobsville and is off back to Sunflower Valley early in the morning. Benny is desperate to go too so Scoop promises to come back and take him as soon as he can. Scoop arrives back at the new yard where Bob is starting work on his new workshop and storerooms. When Farmer Pickles arrives earlier than expected with a load of straw to store in the storeroom, Bob promises to get them finished that day. There's rain on the way! Farmer Pickles sets off for another load and Scoop becomes worried that Bob won't have enough time to get everything finished. By working together, they get everything finished just in the nick of time. Farmer Pickles arrives with the last load of straw just as the rain approaches. As they unload the straw they discover a stowaway - Spud! Spud asks what the straw is for and Farmer Pickles tells him it's for a surprise! Farmer Pickles and Spud bunk down with Bob in his mobile home, and they all agree that it's great having Benny back working with the team!

Trivia

  • Benny doesn't know who Farmer Pickles is. This is basically true because the two of them have never met each other before.
  • This episode marks a few things:
    • First ever Benny dedicated episode.
    • First time Benny meets Scrambler and Farmer Pickles.
    • Last episode where Bobsville appears frequently.
    • One of two episodes where Benny was in the yard in Bobsville; the other one (and previous one) being Two Scoops in the same series.
    • Farmer Pickles, Travis, Spud and Scruffy's last day in Bobsville before moving into Sunflower Valley for the rest of the stop-motion series. Only though (apart from Travis) sleeps in Bob's Mobile Home for this episode.
  • This episode is the Project: Build It version of Bob's Barnraising (Season 1).
  • This is the last episode written by Peter Reeves.

Goofs

  • Spud's straw house and Farmer Pickles' new barn can briefly be seen in the shot which zooms into Sunflower Valley in the beginning, but his straw house and the new barn aren't supposed to exist until the next two episodes.
